HOW IT STARTED
Mahiyu was founded with a heartfelt mission inspired by our founder, Mr. Karthikeyan. After undergoing major heart surgery, he witnessed many children who needed similar life-saving procedures but whose families could not afford them. Determined to help, he travelled with doctors to various locations, conducting medical camps and discovering that many families were unaware of early-stage heart diseases.
To prevent such cases, he began funding treatment for underprivileged children under the age of 18 with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD).

WHAT WE ARE DOING
At Mahiyu, we provide partial or full financial support for medical treatments to children under 18 with severe heart conditions. Requesting hospitals all over Tamil Nadu, we ensure that no child is deprived of life-saving care due to financial constraints. In addition to our medical support, we offer educational sponsorships and resources to talented students in need, aiding their schooling and undergraduate (UG) studies. Our social welfare activities also include significant contributions to orphanages and old age homes, as well as disaster relief efforts where we provide volunteers and essential aid to affected communities.
OUR JOURNEY
Mahiyu’s journey officially began in 2015. Since then, we have made significant contributions to orphanages and old age homes. During natural disasters, we have provided volunteers and essential supplies to those in need. Our unwavering commitment to our mission drives us to positively impact the lives of children and families every day through health and education.
